one time i asked one of my favorite singers/rappers about a lyric because i was curious what the intended tone could be. "yours is a funeral i'd fly to from anywhere." is this an endearing statement of devotion? is this vengeful assurance? i was told that it's a little bit of both, intended to be bittersweet. "i'll never bid you farewell" is supposed to evoke the same kind of mixed feeling in being both a declaration of devotion and an inability to fully shed a certain skin, so to speak.

this demo track for cob's ptvoice pack is a tangential statement on the same themes from "i'll never bid you farewell". the main ostinato is actually from an age-old sketch from ~2011. "farewell" used to be two separate songs that i wrote in 2010-2011, and were both combined and substantially reworked and added-to for the definitive pxtone version from 5TH ANNIVERSARY ~Memories of Pxtone~. back then, one of the songs had a planned "part 2" that i never actually wrote. now i wrote it, with all the fresh new perspectives that 12 additional years will give you. "redrawn conclusions."
